An email I received with my reply.
Regards Alan Case
These are pretty easy questions. You are doing the course to learn. If I do
this for you do I get the HNC certificate? Make an attempt and post the
results on the website. You will get help but no one will do your homework
for you.

> Hi there. I am new to PLC's, and am currently studying a HNC at college.
I've been given the following questions in an assignment, which read:

timers, b)counters, c) compare, d) move e) BCD - Binary

sequence three conveyors in the following order:

Well, I'm not looking for an HNC cert, but I do have a pressing problem, with a medium to large distributed application, including a couple PLC's (ControlLogix, PLC5/20, PLC5/40E, and an SLC), several computers, two databases (SQL Server please), 4 (possibly more) HMI's, and integration with some stand-alone scales with serial outputs.

Would you mind slapping that together for me, and sending me all the code I'll need by Friday? My boss is getting on my back!

Don't you guys have a solutions tree? I do :D ! I just water it with the assignments I get and I subsequently pick the answers from the branches ;) .

All I tell my trainees is how to grow those trees!

Kind regards,

How many of us did this guy e-mail? Plenty by the look of things.

The answers to all questions can be found in the descriptions of the various functions in the manuals. The manuals can be downloaded from the AB (or almost any other brand from their) website.
If you cannot sort thes answers out for yourself from the manuals, choose another course. The questions you have asked are at the very basic end of the scale.
If you want to have a look at some Omron manuals, for example, go here
Omron Manuals I was unable to give you a more direct point as the server was either busy or down. Select PLCs and then the programming manual for the CS1 or CJ1. These PLCs are very advanced and have over 400 functions for you to boggle over when answering the question about advanced functions.

Im suprised at how much he put into cheating and not learning things. With that much effot, he could have easily answered those questions himself, and learned something.

What is the picture in your avatar?

LoL.. Well, I never found anything unique that I liked for an avatar pic, so I generally pick something I at least know.

In the case here (and for now, at least) that is a screenshot of one of my Everquest characters. I tend to use (randomly) a shot of one of my online game characters or another.
