I am using a ProFace GLC-150. This unit is an HMI/PLC combo. I am having downloading trouble. You can download the whole project (screens & ladder logic) to this unit, or you can download the ladder logic alone.
If I try to download the whole project, it goes through setup and downloads the screens fine. But, when it gets to the logic, it says there was an error connecting to the plc and stops downloading. Since, downloading the screens takes a while, I go for the logic download only. Sometimes it will download and sometimes it won't. The same with monitoring mode (like ONLINE mode with AB), sometimes it will connect, sometimes it won't. It's a little less than 50-50. When it won't connect, it says that it cannot connect to the plc and suggests that I plug the cable in or power up the plc. Has anyone else had this problem and found a remedy? Proface doesn't have much in the way of tech support from what I've seen. If this problem could be resolved, it wouldn't be a bad little unit.
