Hi,
what is the proper blinking speed red led of the plc after release "copy switch" during manual loading process(loading program eprom to plc). My red led on the Plc blinking with 0.5s interval after relase the "copy" switch. Is 0.5s blinking normal or should be faster?
Regards.

Looking at my 'tips' for remembering S5-stuff with a S5-95U-cpu, I wrote:

manual copy:

1) swith S5-95-cpu power off
2) push memory-module inside cpu-slot
3) press and hold COPY-key
4) power up cpu
5) red light blinking (on-off)
6) release COPY-key
program will be loaded
7) red light on: program is loaded

red light blinking: fault

automatic copy:

1) power cpuoff
2) push memory-module inside cpu
3) power on
4) red light
on: no program in module
slow blinking: fault
fast blinking: program is loading
red light is on if program is loaded

I hope that this helps you.

The red light flickers much faster than 0.5s during the copy process, the 0.5s on /off indicates some error.

I use the following procedure to load the eprom.

Turn off power to the CPU.
Remove battery
hold key to 'COPY' position
Turn power on
release key from 'COPY' Position

The RED light flickers vigorously for some time and is then LIT steady.

I then plug the battery back into the CPU.
