My situation is the classic "We just have a problem
communicating...", and to repeat another classic
"Now for the rest of the story!". A new stand-alone
SLC504 is connected to the laptop we use on at least
a dozen other SLC50x units(with no problems), but with
this... NOTHING! Reveiw everything, Reset everything,
Retry again and again. Still NOTHING. Finally, turn out
the lights, its time to go home!!! What I'm really looking
for is a step by step guide to communications... something
at the "insert plug A into jack B, type ABCDEFG and press
ENTER" level. I'm sure with a little sleep (Its been a 14
hour day again), the light will come back on, but I'm still
lookingfor a concise guide to communication...Any suggestions?

Vard,

What the communication driver that you already use in RSLinx? Are you use the 1784-PCMK or DF-1?
Please make sure that jumper J4 on the processor is in correct position(Protect position).
Try to reset processor to the default setting with sorting the VBB and GND on the pcb.

Regards,

Deer
