I am an end user of a new RSView SE system (after several years of using and modifying Wonderware). I would like to add a couple of new tags to the HISTORY model so that I can trend them.

In RSView Studio, I have added the tags to the data log model, but they do not show up in the RSView trending (the pens are found, but there is no data associated with it). Am I missing something? Note that I am already trending about 92 other tags...I am just unable to add these new tags.

Rmichaelson,

You should delete one of your duplicate posts, before your "1-hour edit" window expires.

I have not used RSView SE, but have used RSview32. In RSView32, each trend must have a "trend" file in the tag database.

You must at a minimum STOP the running datalog, and re-start it, before added tags will actually begin running. Sometimes, if many pens are added, or multiple datalog models are modified, it is necessary to completely shutdown the server computer and restart it to clear out the cache that is built. Make sure you shut down the system normally, rather than just pulling the power :)
