I would greatly appreciate if someone can advise me on following points?

1- which level is mostly used for PLC power supply: 220 V Ac,110 VDC from UPS or 24 Vdc from battery charger?
2- Any experience about the supply of the different vendors: such as Allen Bradly, Modicon,S7-Siemens,Toshiba,HIMA?

Best regards,
Vahid

Power supply varies lots Omron uses 24 vdc,120 and I would imagine 220 AB uses both some micrologix use 120 or 24 many of them are configurable via a jumper for 220

Thank you for your replies.
As you know the I/O cards are limited to the variation of voltage,so refer to your experience which option (UPS or Battery Charger) is more applicable from this point of view. Is there a general rule for the acceptable level of the voltage in I/O cards?

Thanks in advance,
Vahid

You would have to look at the specs of each card, most are either 24VDC/120VAC/Relay, a relay type output card uses whatever voltage your put into it, usually relay cards are used to isolate differing sources of power.
