Hi

I have MLX 1200 C, I have aproject for Three Element Drum Level Control, In PID instruction setup FFB is there, I could not exactly understand the term FFB (Feed Forward Bais). Can I put steam flow as FFB and automatically remote set point will be acted to CASCADE Loop? How it works? Please Help me

Feed forward bias is a value that is added to the output in addition to the PID correction. It is intended to supply output that you know is needed without requiring that the PID produce that value. It tends to get you to setpoint more quickly.

you may want to consider a level sensor or proportional weight control.
pid loops are not fast acting from what i have learned in the past.
if this is a 55 gallon drum filling up in 10 seconds for example, the pid loop may be to slow.

That's not really true. You can have PIDs that update in milliseconds...We routine use PI control on instantaneous web tension control on a process moving 1000 ft/min.

Thanks

But I want to know how its affects on CV? is ther any expression (formula) applied?.. or other logic

Thanks
