OMRON Modem-Connection setup ??

Hello

I use a modem connection since 10 years and it work very good.
I have got 2 US-Robotics Modems V92 message fax. First in France and second in Hungary.
Today i have got a probleme.
My Hungarian modem has been stolen !!!
I dont remember setup that i have put in it!

I would likre to program my "French modem" to send it to Hungary.

Can you send me configuration instructions parameters to change ???

If you are a registered Omron user, there is a very handy (and FREE) modem setup utility here...

...CX-Modem.

Register, then proceed to Download centre. It'll be downloadable from there.

Send parameters to modem.
No change...

There is no communcation beetween modem and PLC..

I dont understand the problem

Can you post screenshots of your comms setup.
How is the port on the PLC setup? What PLC is it? Are you using CX-Programmer (if not why not?).
What are the AT commands set in the local and remote modems?

We'll need a lot of info to help you properly here. Modems can be a source of much hair pulling when the things are sat on your desk, so trying to help someone via e-mail needs a lot more information than 'still won't connect'.

Usually i connect me on all the Omron PLC.
C200HG, CQM1, CPM2C.....(but never tested on CJ1)
I test at my home are with a TPLINK Modem

To make my test i have :
- 1 CPM2C
- 1 CJ1

I have 2 type of programming cable :

1 (CS1W-CN2)
1 CQM1-CIF02+CPM2C-CN111

With every cables my local connection is working in direct to plc.

I have a Siemens S7200 too.
I have make a home cable beetween modem and programming cable.


DB9M MODEM / / DB9M to connect to cable

4&1&6 together
7&8 together 7&8 together

If connect it to my Siemens programming cable there is no problem
Working well by modem.

I replace it by Omron 1 CQM1-CIF02+CPM2C-CN111 (my usual modem connection) No communication between modem and PLC.

I have download like you told me : Omron modem sofware
I have clic to download and the software put a configuration without flux control in modem.

I use Syswin because we can see cleary what modem do instead of cx programmer.
I would like firstly to be sure it is working with syswin to go to CX programmer to test with CJ1

I have found and attached an Omron modem setup document.
It assumes using CX-Programmer, and connection to the PLC from the remote modem is to the PLCs Host Port.
CX-Modem should help with some of the AT commands required by your modems - CX-Modem was designed with the Westermos' in mind.
