wiring diagram sofware

What is the least expensive, most user friendly, the best deal on wiring diagram software? I don't want to get trapped into the yearly upgrade cost as our need for this software is minimal. I am not looking for cheap just functional. Is constructor 8 good???

Before CAD I used Visio... it was OK, I think you can get it cheap, if you are not going to use it a lot then I would give it a try, there are also trail versions...

Autodsys IntelliCAD works like Autocad. If you are used to AutoCAD, it is great, and at a minimal cost. You can import tons of AutoCAD drawings and save time getting set up.

The 2D drafting module of Solid Edge is free and has pretty good management of symbols.

I use it for quick pneumatic schematics or 2D sketches. It's even constraint based. Of course they are trying to get you to purchase the full blown 3D solid modeler but so far there is no obligation to buy or expiration in the software. You don't get the company support but there is a forum set up for users of the Free 2D product similar to PLCS.net so you're not totally left out to hang.
