Interfacing with MicroFrame Alpha Display

I'm trying to interface a Modicon Quantum PLC with a MicroFrame 24" Alpha Display via the ESI06210 ASCII module and the MicroFrame DataPage II transmitter.

I can output from the ASCII module to hyperterminal, but when I send the same string to the transmitter, nothing shows up on the display.

Has anyone tried to do something similar to this, even with a different setup?
