Those of you in the saw mill/ veneer industry may be interested to know that Coe-Newnes got bought by USNR. This is a major consolidation in the wood products industry. I think this leaves USNR of Woodland, WA as the major saw mill manufacturer in the world an Raute Wood of Lahti, Finland as the major veneer manufacturer in the world. It will be interesting to see if USNR will try to get back into the veneer industry.
