OMRON CPM2A and Intermec 3240 Serial Printer

I'm having trouble communicating from PLC to printer. I can use Hyperterminal to go from my PC to the printer and send the file to the printer and it will print. I can send the same file from the PLC to my PC using Hyperterminal and I can see that it sent the correct file. The cable works because I can do a data dump from the printer after I send the file from the PLC, and see that it is the file I was trying to send. I have the comm port on the PLC set up just like another machine with the same model printer and a different model (CJ1M) but OMRON tech says the ports should work the same when set up in the same manner. I am wondering if there may be some kind of framing issue with the file when I send it. If anyone has any information that could be helpful, I would greatly appreciate it.

Serial comm instruction are a bit different between the C series (CPM2) and CJ series.

Do you have an end of string character set in the PLC settings for the CPM2?

Your printer may require a form feed character at the end of the string to print the page.

On the CJ1M, are you using the on board serial port or a serial communication module?
