I did this a long time ago. Either I forgot how to do it or I don't have the correct driver.

I'm connecting via my COM1 Serial Port using a 1747-PIC to the 485 port on the SLC. I'm trying to set up RSLinx but it won't find the node.

What driver should I use for this?

You need to use the PIC driver. Beware, it will "Consume" your serial port. (There were several technotes on this years ago)
Make sure that all of your com1 serial port is available.
Should be easy after all of the above is OK.

Do you have the offline file of your SLC5/03. If so check its node address and baud rate. RSlinx's node address must be different, the baud arte must be the same.

See PDF's below for more help if needed

Easy as 1 2 3. I was using the wrong driver in RSLinx. Used the PIC driver and worked quickly. I was able to download the program and make a copy.

Thanks a bunch.
