micrologix 1500 eeprom does not self load

I have a working program and i can download it just fine via RS-232. I plugged in the EEPROM, stored the program to the eeprom (non-write protected), the run light flashed and my hourglass disappeard. If i take a fresh unit with no program, insert the eeprom and power it on, nothing loads. I am sure its something simple but i can't figure it out.

in your program before you burned the EEPROM did you set S:5/8 load from EEPROM on boot or S:1/10 Load from EEPROM on program error?

that was it. i set it to always load from memory card and it works like a champ now. thanks!
