Over the weekend I installed Verizon Internet Security Suite,
because I just started Verizon DSL plan. When I started work
Monday I tried to open RS View Studio and I get the following:
FactoryTalk Studio:
Cannot connect to addin object
Name: Application Handler
Cause: 80042089
When I select OK I get
RS Linx Enterprise:
RS Linx Enterprize cannot run on this computer because the
FactoryTalk Local Directory has not been configured. To configure
the FactoryTalk Local Directory, run Start> Programs >Rockwell
Software>FactoryTalk Tools> FactoryTalk Directory Configuration
Wizard.
When I go into FactoryTalk Directory Configuration
Wizard ,and select FactoryTalk Local Directory I get:
Exception From HRESULT: 0x8004204E
What do you think is causing this ,and what is the most simple
way to fix.
