RS...What Is It?

Does anyone remember the RSVisualLogix and RSMailman software packages. I am pretty sure they are obsolete as I can find no current mention of them on the AB website. We (our company) still have many of the old RS software packages floating around although we do not use them anymore. Just for curiosity what was the purpose of each of these software packages?

RSMailman was basically an alarm annunciation package that had the capability to send emails.


If I remember correctly I believe RSVisualLogix was a collection of activeX controls like RSData, RSWheel, etc.

I remember fondly RS Pocketlogix... or would if I'd ever owned it. Thought it looked cool as heck...

Back in the 90s I was the PLC guy for an AB distributor. They basically said if you want to sell Rockwell Software thou shalt buy these RSPocketLogix as samples because they're the next greatest trend and soon all the maintenance people will be using them instead of laptops. I think the only ones sold were to the distributors...
