How many 1757-SRC1 we need for redundant CLX setup?

Hi guys,

I'm sizing up a redundant CLX setup using 1757-SRM modules. 2 CPU, 2 SRM modules, 2 racks, 2 p/s.
But I'm not sure if I should buy 1757-SRC1 x 1 unit or 2 units? As the SRM module has Tx & Rx (fiber optic cable). The 1757-SRC1 packages comes with 1 cable or 2 cables?
Please help.

Thanks a lot.

Isn't the "Dual" channel that determines actual system redundancy?

The 1757-SRC1 is just a fiber optic cable assembly with both the Tx and Rx fibers "zip-corded" together. Buy just one. You can also get an -SRC3 (3 meter) or -SRC10 (10 meter) if you are placing your reundant chassis in separate cabinets to protect against fire, flood, or collision damage.

The ControlLogix Redundancy System Manuals are absolutely necessary reading for any redundancy installation. There is a specific set of hardware and firmware that is tested and functional for each redundancy release of ControlLogix.

The current redundancy release documentation includes:

1756-RN650B
RSLogix 5000 v16.54 Enhanced Redundancy

1756-RN628G RSLogix 5000 v16.53 Redundancy

Ken,

Thanks a lot for your info, appreciate it. I'll go thru the manuals as you recommended.
