Omron Hmi Program

A common use for string display is as follows:

One line in the HMI screen should change what it says depending on the status of the machine. Perhaps there are 5 different sentences to display.

1. In the string display setting, the length is the max number of characters. The string table entry is where the information is stored to be displayed.

2. If the "Indirect Reference" is selected, the string to be displayed is based on the value in the numeral table specified.

To display 5 different "sentences" on the same HMI screen, we could do the following:

a. Select indirect reference and table 0 (or any table number you want). Enter DM100 in numeral table #0.

b. Go to string table, (for this example) select string #15, enter the first sentence. In string #16 enter the second sentence. And so on.

Now, when DM100 is equal to #15, the sentence in string table #15 will be displayed. When DM100 is equal to #19 the fifth sentence is displayed.

Hope this helps
