How to clear a CompactLogix processor memory

Is there a command in RSLogix5000 or do I just have to download a shell of a program?

Try disconnecting the battery, then made a short circuit between the positive and negative pins where the battery was connected.

The Logix-family controllers don't have a "hold up" capacitor like the SLC controllers do, so even a few moments with the power off and the battery disconnected will clear the memory. There's no need to short the battery connector to drain anything.

There is no "clear memory" function in RSLogix 5000 that the user can perform.

But if you are a distance from the processor.....

... you could always "flash" it to the same revision level
