I have a new project which requires interfacing a touch panel with Mettler Tolledo Weighing Controller (IND580) & Danfoss inverter (VLT series). I want to interface the COM1(configures as RS-485) port of Proface GP3000 series with the IND560 & Inverter. Is it possible to this kind of interfacing without need to write any coding on the Proface TP. Did anyone did this beofre. If so please give me some suggestions. I don't want to use Profibus/devicenet/modbus card on the Touch panel as it would increase my cost very much.
