Can someone explain to me, step by step, how to setup the 1761-net-eni. Including how to setup the IP address,etc. I've read the manual and it's not working me. I have RSlinx 2.5 conneting to a SLC 5/04. Thanks.

There is a utility that connects through the serial port to configure the Net-ENI:

CH. 4 of the user's manual outlines the setup process in a very "step-by-step" way, gives you screen shots as well as the link to download the configuration utility. What specific part is throwing you?

Setup the ENI

using serial port. I have a "no response, check cable, etc". Verified cable with micrologix 1000 and with a different CPU. This is a used ENI, could it be faulty?

Chapter 9 is the troubleshooting section.

Have you checked the channel configuration on the SLC 5/04 to make sure it's set up correctly?

The more information you can provide the better response you'll get here.

You need to stop the DF1 driver in RSLinx first.

This what have.

I want to connect to a SLC5/04 with DF1/ PMO2 Cable, PC to ENI series C
Downloaded the EDS file and registered file. 0001000C00630300
I have the ENI utility software. This a series C.
Settings: 232 baud 19200
Utililties: COM 1 Baud 19200
IP 010.003.251.010
Gateway 255.255.255.000
Saved to RAM, ROM. No problems so far.

RSLinx version 2.50
config driver as AB_ETH-1 IP ADD. 010.003.251.010

Unrecognized device Yellow "?" with Red "X"

What is your computer IP set at it should be something like
10.003.251.XXX and the gateway should be the same

I tried this and when I typed in the IP address of 10.003.251.010 in rslinx and clicked on add new the IP address changes to 10.3.251.8 then it show's up as a yellow question mark with a red x through it. Try to enter in 10.3.251.10 then click on add new this made my eni show up in linx

Do not enter leading zeros in your IP addresses.

I am using the PM02 for the ENI utility. Then ethernet when starting up RSLINX.
