AB PLC5 question on the '#' usage

I am looking at an old PLC5 program and trying to update it. I notice logic trying to clear or fill block of data and they are using the # symbol before the register name like #N7:8. I can't seem to find this reference.

Anyone know what the usages are for PLC5?
