We have been using the Toledo/Mettler Panthers/Ind560 panel mounts with RIO for years now. I have been seriously thinking switching to the Hardy Instruments HI 4050 with RIO.

Has anyone used this Hardy before, and how does the price to the Toledo compare? I can buy a Mettler/Toledo Ind 560 with RIO for about $1800 CAD = $1450US

I just completed a project with two HI4050's attached to a SLC5/05, and linked using Ethernet/IP.

The actual unit is pretty robust, but its no batching station. Has some I/O for relay contact use, however.

Piece of cake to set up and use, like all HARDY stuff.

I don't know the pricing, but that would be easy to find out by calling a distributor.
