Hi guys, I heave to send a Text message to a cell phone from this specific RedLion HMI when my system has an alarm. I need some help with this application.

Another important thing is, I don't have a GSA Modem but I going to have a VPN access.

You will need to set up the mail manager in the communications setup. Set an email account under the SMTP tab, and the addresses under the addresses tab. Then on your tags, under the alarm section, you can choose to have the alarm emailed.

Under most cell phone carriers, you can email a text message to a phone. For verizon, it is the 10 digit cell phone number (no spaces or hyphens)@vztext.com (ie [email protected])

But be aware, that while text messages are often instantanious. Most providers don't make any garantee on the timeliness of a text message. They can sometimes take up to 24 hours.
