Slc 5/04 64 k os 401 ...

Hai to all
I have one doubt in installing the Analog card.
our PLC is SLC 5/04 64 K mem OS 401.
existing analog card is 1746-NO4I with external 24 Vdc
power supply.
This card had burnt out and not working. I tried to inquire a
card and suppliers are sending quotation for this same card
but with out 24 VDC external power supply.
If I am using a card with out 24 VDC external power up,
can I operate the field equipments at same time?

Short answer yes. But why not use the same external power supply you already have with the new card?
