I’m looking for the World’s Smallest PLC

I just ordered a TECO brand Smart Relay or micro PLC for a very small project in which space is at a premium. The application calls for logic nothing complicated and only 2in and 2 outs.

This PLC measures 90mm x 72mm.

Question:

Does anyone know of a Smart Relay or a micro PLC smaller than this one?

Hey those PLC in a relay form factor are small, have you ever used one?

Hi Ken, no we have never used these units, but they look intriguing! Keeping them on the back burner until a suitable application comes my way.

Can anyone else report on their experiences with products from divelbiss, I don't recall ever seeing any posts about them on this forum.

The Melsec 1s or 1n are the smallest I have seen they are a Misubishi Product

The smallest that I have ever used was the Panasonic FP-Sigma. Worked great too.

There are loads of those mini plcs out there.
Siemens has one called LOGO! with different I/O options both digital and analog.

This company produces plcs in a DIP package with prices starting as low as $39. The software is free. While there a few chips out there that are programmable in basic, this one distinguishes itself in that is programmble in BASIC and ladder logic. I have not used it before, but I have ordered the prototyping board and will give it a whirl when I have more time on my hands (read unemployment). It doesn't look like anything that I would use in an industrial environment, but it looks like its niche might be in high volume application.
