im trying to download a pv file via serial with no luck ive tried various baud rates and still cannot download even tried a usb to serial converter in case it was my port. Help
 
Are you using an AB cable or ANOther ?

Cant remember but i think from memory (said think so dont shoot me down!) its not a standard serial but a bit quirky :)

thanks everyone for the advice but it was a com port issue with the driver it was installed to three when it should have been four
 
Yes its a straight through serial cable (ie, not null modem). Messes me up every time... See Mickey's cable above (though that is 9 to 25).
