where do i find error messages that are generated and witthen to the panel view does it come from the plc5 program using ab500 softwere?

You could be talking about different things.
The Panelview has it's own errors that are generally related to the Panelview specifically. These error messages will give you information about problems with the Panelview's operations and problems with communications.
Or you could be talking about "machine fault" messages that were included by the original programmer and are specifically about your machine or process.
What are your messages saying??
