Modicon M340 DDTs efficient design

I am new to M340and have the following queries.
1. Do BOOLs get packed into a 32bit word like with RS5000 or does each bool take a byte as with CoDeSys software?
2. Will they still pack the same way if I assign non-consecutive pin numbers?
