well i went ahead and bought two 1761-32bwa controllers now i need to figure out how to link them together. I have a program and light board that requires 20 outputs and of coarse the m1000 only has 12, what do i need to use outputs from two separate controllers.

Thanks
Paul

You can connect them together on a DH485 network using (2) 1761-NET-ENI modules, + (2)1761-CBL-AM00 or 1761-CBL-HM02 + some suitable DH485 cabling.

It might be possible to fabricate a cable to directly connect the two controllers and save a bunch of money. I would definitely use some kind of optical isolator between them though.

Once connected, you can use the MSG instruction to send information back and forth, but only if your units are Series C or newer.
