Have any of ya'll made or used compiled HTML files for custom Window's style help files for your HMI applications? If so, how do you create them?

Robohelp is the gold standard and it is even better since being aquired by adobe a few years back.

There are some other suites for doing this google will turn up hundreds. I have only used robohelp.

95 percent of all major software packages help files are done in robohelp.

I can tell you from first hand experience that most automation programming software for major plc brands is done in robohelp.

here is a link to technical communications suite which contains robohelp 8 http://www.academicsuperstore.com/products/Adobe/Technical+Communication+Suite/982531

You can download the demo here and give it a run http://www.adobe.com/products/robohelp/

I have used it in many hmi applications using activex functions.
