I've got ECalcs, Conduit Fill, WireCalculator, Ratios, ElectricalToolkit, and a couple magnetic field detectors loaded.

Plus some network scan tools, and wi-fi detectors.

Anyone find anything that's a must have?

where did you find all the software? sonds very handy?

All on the iTunes store, mostly browsing around, some searches. There are just way too many to get through them all.

Magnetic Field Detector? Really?

The 3GS has a built in actual magnetometer (intended for use as an actual compass), that developers have tapped for other purposes.
Two that I have are:
http://www.excelltechmobile.com/emf.html
and
http://www.threads.dk/magnetism/

Both are useful, but I use the first more often, for quick checking things like solenoids (energized or not, AC or DC, etc) and other electro-mechanical devices.

The "Must Haves" for me are:

Google, Urbanspoon, Twitterific, Wikipanion, Units, AOL Radio, Twit.am, Pandora, PhoneFlicks, SportsCenter, Facebook.

Units is a nice little conversion app. I use the web browser and email to death.

All are free.

Is that really an "iphone" app? Could any handheld with a web browser access that? Not to dismiss it though. I love viewing PLC data right on my phone and it looks like you have done a really slick job of it. Homebrew or not!

no it's not a regular "iphone app". it runs in Safari. but it will work with any web browser handheld or regular. it's plain html generated by Perl scripts. Perl connects to MySql and sends the data off to google who then provides the url to the chart images.

the images are very low byte count like everything google does and this makes the page loading very fast. the pages refresh automatically every 45 seconds.

No problem, I have no friends, so never get any messages !

Hey, I'm your friend!
I never did sign up for the text msg plan either.
AIR SHARING is a must for PDF's and DOCS, PANDORA for all your radio needs, and TONEPAD will make anyone who knows what the rs6200 data tables looked like into a musician. The 9-toolbox contains a nice level and bevel and unit converter for free.
