i need some one to help me out.
i,m trying to transfer my first program to a PLC
i,m trying to do this with GX-developper FX. i,m using a mitsibushi FX 2n PLC. when i try to this, i get the following error;
1 cable error(i dont think this is the problem, i am using new cables)
2 specify baud rate not supported( i don,t think this is the problem to, i have tried all possible baud rate)
3 the project PLC and the connected PLC are different(i know this is not the problem)
4 monitor set staus is read by Device(what does this means?)

what else could it be??>>

"do i have to supply the PLC with power befor transfering the program."

I don't know much about your PLC, but most PLC need power before program can be downloaded.

I have the same plc and software.

What cable do you have,

It should be an sc-09 or if you have a HMI you can use the serial port.

Power must be on.

I have had problems with damaged leads, if you use the shield and there is example a small leak to earth this can damage your lead.

Also check your settings for you comm port.

Most new laptops don't have a rs232 port so you use a usb to serial convertor. I've heard some people making the mistake of thinking this serial port will be com one, not allways so.

Sometimes, depending on settings plc has to be in stop to transfer.

Have you got the right plc choosen for your program?

Bauds should be 9.6 and you must hav power.

I just had a go at connecting without the lead connected and I get the same error message exactly.

You could try clearing the memory of the plc if you still can't get in.

I'm using GX Developer (might be slightly different
from your version). Once you create new project
make sure to select proper CPU.
Prome the "Online" menu, select "Transfer Setup".
Make sure to select proper COM port and make sure
the COM port is functional and not used by other
applications!!!
Btw., make sure your SC09 cable is plugged to PLC and
PLC must be powered up.
Baud rate doesn't matter (at least it didn't in my case,
FX2N recognized and automatically matched whatever speed
I've selected on my PC).
Or you can simply click on "PLC Direct Coupled Setting"
and then "OK".

I am having the same problem as jerrycat. I was searching through the forum to see if anyone has had the same problem before. I have checked the following:

- Power to the PLC is on
- The USB/RS-232 works fine when communicating with F940 HMI
- No other app is using the Comm Port
- The Baud settings, PLC type etc. is correct
- I am just trying to read from the PLC so no project differences
- I have used this exact laptop earlier to communicate and have had no issues

The only thing I can think of is somehow the cable got 'damaged'. I have already requested another cable from my vendor.

Anything else I can check for? Would really appreciate your inputs.

Thanks.
