Hi Friends,
I have a PG which i use for programming.
Often i use the pen drives and connect to the net, wifi, etc.
Even hough my company provides me the symantec it does n't scans the .exe viruses.can any one help to select the right antiviruc

Symantec is, well, garbage. Pretty much all Symantec products are.

For virus scanning, I'd suggest you take a look at ESET or Kaspersky.

ESET AV is excellent, but I actually preferred there version 3.x firewall over the 4.x one.

Kaspersky AV is also excellent, I have not tried their firewall or other security products yet.

Both are very fast, updated constantly, have a very small footprint, and run well. Oh, if you want to uninstall them, they both uninstall cleanly, unlike Symantec, McAfee, or some others out there.
