Where to download Demo of RSlogix 5000 v.16

I have been searching to try and find a demo of RSlogix 5000 v.16. Every time I do a google search all I get is pirated sites.... I am a college student right now and I am taking a PLC class and I would really like to get the program for my home PC to work on my labs at night and then save them and run them at school. If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

The v16 demo CDs required that you keep the CD in the drive to activate the software, which would then run for 90 days after installation.

Nonetheless, your local Rockwell Automation distributor or sales office should be able to find one of these, and see if there's a v17 demo CD (I didn't see one).

If you can use RSLogix 5000 v17 in your class, you can download the Demo CD directly from the Internet:

The older v16 Demo CD isn't on the Internet site anymore, so I'd have to dig around in the office to find some hardcopies if that's what you need for compatability with the classroom controllers.

Are you by chance still with RA?
I called my local AB office here near Noblesville, Indiana, but they didn't get back to me. I'd asked about the rsl5k "mini" to see if the price was still near $820; because I hoped to learn the majority of Rsl5k with a used CompactLogix unit off e-bay after buying the software from AB. I recently returned from Afghanistan as a contractor and hope to catch up as I used to program with 500 back in the day. The AB distributor said she would have her software man get in touch with me but he didn't. I had no "company" but told her I would be paying cash; not sure if that turned her off?...
After no response from her, I'd hoped to perhaps get a 30 day trial of the offline RsL5k from the AB website, but looks like that's no longer an option.
If you're still there, do you have any advice? My budget is thin but perhaps I can still swing the mini.

Ken no longer works for RA although he is still very active here. Contact Kirby Risk in the Indianapolis area and ask for their PLC specialist. Hopefully they will get back to you!

No dongle, no master disk anymore.
You get a license key, and have to use the (/spit) FactoryTalk activation server/client with it.
You can order a separate dongle, and install the license on that (still using FT Activation), but it is not particularly reliable, nor easy to shift from one computer to another.

Data Logging in Rockwell Platform

I want to develop a high channel count application for my client using Rockwell Integrated Development Platform of Control Studio 5000 and Factory Talk View Studio. I have an Array of Data in Ladder Logic . How can I access the Array as a whole and not one by one (Index) element.

Please help me how to manipulate the Array

I am putting together a trainer. I have priced 1769 L30's processors, I/O's etc...
The StudioLogix 5000 mini I bought came with RsLogix 5000 versions 13 through 20.

I am not yet versed in matching CompactLogix components and want to make sure I do not purchase mismatched components. For example a 1769-L30, seems a good starting point for a low cost processor. Does the 5330 designation nail me down to specific I/O's or power supplies? I am starting with digital I/O's, then will get an analog when one becomes available at a decent price.
I am fortunate to have 90 days of Techconnect and want to get this together before I lose that, and I will check with them if this is not something anyone here wants to bother with.

so far in the rslogix, all the components I have set up show no issues as I program, (1769 L30 processor, 1769 IQ16 Input module and a 1769 OW16 module). I have disabled keying just in case and will purchase them soon. Just wanted to get any pertinent advice before doing so. Looks like the processor 1769 L30 can only be flashed to version 13. I assume this as when entering the ver while choosing the processor all other versions will not stay in the drop box, just 13. Fine by me.
I know all this is below elementary for you guys, but we all started somewhere.
