CompactLogix L32E communicating with Micrologix1500LRP Via DF1

I need some help over this matter,
I have a compactlogix L32E and i want it to communicate with an existing micrologix 1500 LRP
what setting and programing i need to do to send data from compactlogix to micrologix and via versa? using DF1

If you have an Ethernet L32E (E is Ethernet), get a NET-ENI for the 1500 and make it Ethernet enabled. Give them IP addresses on the same subnet (192.168.1.10 and 192.168.1.11 subnet mask 255.255.255.0) Install an Ethernet cross over cable between the two. Go to the AB website and follow the examples they have (my example do not do the AB examples justice). I have done this many times and it is easy to make these two talk.

You can do this serially but depending on the distance between the processors (50' max for DF1) Ethernet is easier, faster and can be integrated into a factory network allowing historian data collection.

thanks glesniak, but my my situation requires me to use connection via DF1 that means serial to serial port connection.
Can u show me how's the configuration is set and program using MSG? coz i really don't have any clue how both controllers compactlogix and micrologix is communicated via serial port.
