Hello All,

I am working on updating a Siemens program to count missing production pieces. o_O (processor is a S7 416DP2)
We have 3 shifts and I will need to reset the counter at every shift change. I have added the IEC Functions to the program, but I am not sure exactly how I can get the time and conduct a comparison to activate the reset output to the counter display. I am also a little confused about the data types and the representation of the time. For example how would I compare it to a static value of 15:00?

Please help me resolve this task.

Thank you.

Have a look at this example implementation. I generate three booleans which come on for one scan at each shift change. For testing I connected the one shots to counters.

Thanks it works great. Now a different question.
Is there a way to sync the cpu time with Wincc pc time automatically. This will help to keep the correct time in the cpu with day light saving time.
Thanks
