RSLogix 5000-Feature

Hi

I am woking on RSlogix 5000. I have 34 controllers, all controllers having same ADDon block as a common.

Can we make this Addon Global for all 34 PLC, is this possible on RSlogix5000, because if there is an change in one block i need to update for all 34 controllers., this is tedious.

Kindly suggest is there is any possible way of making it in to global.

I'm pretty sure you can export the new add-on and import/replace it into the other files. It may have to be done offline.

there is no way to make a project use a "global" or library add-on instruction automatically.

yes, it is tedious to have to import the modified Add-On into the other projects, but the idea behind add-ons is that they should be fully-functional, and fully-tested, before use.

if you concentrate your effort into getting your add-on instructions as close to correct as possible in the first instance, this will minimise the number of changes required later.

jstolaruk is also quite correct in the second part of his reply, you cannot import an add-on while online.
