M340 Modbus communicarion

Dear All
I connect a m340 PLC to Five ATV61 via modbus communication in a daisy chain architecture. Now I have a problem as soon as one of the ATV disconnected from the bus the communication between M340 and other ATV is failed. I do not know how could I fix this problem. I mean exeprt Read_Var and Write_Var function should I use any other funcation to prevent such problem?
