It appears that our friends over at Rockwell Automation have commissioned the development of an open-source EtherNet/IP driver, both master and slave. You can download the code here...

Looks like the code is in C, and targeted at Cygwin, not Microsoft development tools, but I'm no expert, so I'll defer to others about how hard it might be to use this code in the .NET environment.

This is pretty neat news. I wish I knew more about programming, I'd love the to convert that to a .Net environment. It's way over my head though I'm sure. I'm just an extreme amateur VB6/VB.NET "programmer".
 
I gotta say, I'm more excited about Archies. It's well on it's way to being Ethernet I/P - Logix capable. It's pretty straight forward and easy to use.

I've been trying to dig though it to understand it better, but there is so much going on that I don't know that it's pretty overwhelming. It's pretty well documented too. I'm learning though.
