Allen bradley SCL instuction

Hi

I'm struggling to figure out how to calculate the values in a allen bradley SCL instruction. It was used in a SLC5/04 processor. I'm changing it to a micrologix 1100.
Please help.

Instruction is the same on 5/04 and ML1100, maybe what it´s different are the values, please take a loot at you I/O boards manuals, I´m sure they have the answer to your problem.
Or send me the rung you used on the 5/04 including what type of i/o board and the same on the ML1100.

I must be missing something here when i look at the range of the two instructions and the parameters of the two instructions they look one and the same? can you access the SLC504 program?

as widelto said, the scaling parameters might have to be changed if the inputs are "scaled" differently from one platform to the other ...

if this is the case, then the answer to your question can be found in the "Scaling ---" papers available on the "Samples Lesson" page of my website ... (note that it's pretty large - so you'll have to download it in two parts) ... this explains how to calculate the values that you need ...

but ...

chances are that the SCP instruction will do what you want - with less "up front" work ...

or ...

just give us ALL of the details of your hardware and what range you want the "scaled" values to fit into - and I'm sure one of the forum members will be glad to help you fill in the blanks ...
