siemens 300

hi all im working in cement factory and i want to down load the systems from the plc(siemens 313c) into my laptop what type of cable i will need, and i have also used to use V4.0 STEP 7 MicroWIN SP4 to modify and devlop the programs for siemense series 200 is that aplicable with siemense 300 series

The cable and software for S7-200 will not work with S7-300.

The full STEP7 software for S7-300/400 is relatively expensive, but you can download STEP7 LITE for free from Siemens website.

Notice that uploading from a PLC will only give you a program without symbols or comments.
