Hi,

I have a SLC 5/04 programmed to run a process. I want to use a light beacon to signal any fault that occurs. How can I find out the voltage the output card on the PLC provides so I can order to correct beacon.

Thanks for your help!

and if the module you're using is a TRIAC type, make sure that the beacon presents enough of an electrical "load" - or it will stay ON even when the PLC turns the output OFF ... (most neon and some types of LED beacons will NOT provide enough of a load) ... search for TRIAC and "leakage current" on this forum and you should find out everything that you need to know about that piece of the puzzle ... note that with an SLC-5/04, the word "TRIAC" will usually appear right under the LEDs on the front of these types of modules ...

and welcome to the forum ...
