I am communicating with a LED marquee display. I am trying to figure out how this thing is working.

What i have found out so far is that the sign is getting this ASCII string

$$WRL>B$00A$01$00$00$00$00$00$00a$00RECIPE$00$009$00$l$12$08$02$03$l$EF$F2$01$F2$F3$01$F3CLEAN$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$00$EF$CE$F6g$

I cant figure out how this is working. I dont know what the WRL>B is for. Doens anyone have any insight?? It is for E2000 display.

No idea. You will need to refer to the manual for that.

There are commonly various control and format codes that are sent with text to control color, size, position, movement, justification, etc. There can also be embedded variables that the sign may be able to format.

AFAIK, there is no "Standard" at all.
