Does anyone have the pin-out of the 9-pin, D-sub RS232 connector on the front of a SLC 5/03? All I need is the RXD, TXD and GND...no handshaking.

TIA,
Dan

OK..that's what I used when I made a comm cable from an AccuSort barcode reader to Chan. 0 on the SLC, and it doesn't work. Do I have to use handshaking for a barcode reader or does it matter? I have Chan. 0 set to ASCII, 9600-Odd-1-8, No Handshaking.

Here is a complete set:

1 - DCD
2 - RXD
3 - TXD
4 - DTR
5 - GND
6 - DSR
7 - RTS
8 - CTS
9 - NC

Standard cable is 1747-cp3 or 1756-cp3
Simple null modem cable will work, or get it at plccables.com

Actually, the end of the cable that plugs into the barcode scanner is a female high-density 15-pin, D-sub connector. I have the pin-out for the RS232 comms on that end, I was just missing the pin-out for the SLC end.
