Siemens S7 200 Cos Phi Power Factor

Hi

I'm trying to use the Cos function in the S7200 PLC, the answers I'm getting in the PLC don't match in anyway the answers I get from my trusty calculator...
I'm obviously doing something wrong!!!

Any sample programs or advice out there would be gratefully appreciated.

S7-200 uses radians, not degrees. Have you used Degrees on your calculator?

COS PHI will give you the phase angle in degrees or radians

Power factor is the ratio of KW divided by KVA

A COS PHI angle of 45 degrees is a power factor of .707
