PV+400 communication problem

hi

can anyone help me ??
i have PV+400 which i took from site
client has reported there is no data;s were coming from PLC(controllogix)
i am trying to communicate to laptop through DF1 serial cable (straight)
i am unable to establish communication,
I had set communication path in RSenterprise, but its saying Selected source is not valid.
did i miss anything

help me out in this issue
