PV+ to Omron

Has anyone connected a PV+ to an Omron CJ1G-H? I have installed the KEP drivers for the OPC KEP Enterprise. What I don't know is how to define a tag in the tag database?

the easiest way is to open an existing application and see how the tag addressing works. then copy and paste into the new application keeping in mind the name of the plc.

for example, a project i have says {::{slc}B23:11/05}
where slc is the name of the plc processor.

i'm new to the pv+ terminals and thats what i did to modify the program.

The Omron FINS Ethernet driver help file will provide you with information on address syntax as well as information on configuring the Etherent connection. If you are connecting serially then use the Omron Fins Serial help file. The Help files for each driver are the user manual. Completed the mission. I was able to use the FINS ethernet card totalk through a PV600 with the KEPware software and get to the Omron PLC. There were phone calls to Omron, KEPware, and Allen Bradley for tech support. They were very well versed and guided me through the process. The task took about 30hrs much of which was a learn curve. But I was real impressed at being able to use AB equipment in the Omron world.
