slc 5/04 network communication

Hi, can I configure 5 units of slc 5/04 on a dh+ network to exchange data without the use of any additional module? If possible, how are they to be configured?

Yes, depending on the data type and amount of data you want to
share. You can use the message instruction to read or write between controllers. Or if sharing one word or a few bits then the "Global Status Word" may work for you.

about how to use the Global Status Word.

Are you talking about hardware??? you only need the wire and resistors depending on the speed

as stated above.. yes you can..

You must read or write the information from PLC to PLC using a Message Block. Thats the reason to have the DH+ network there.. besides using for HMI (operator interface).

Genius has a good link there to show some examples of how to read or write data from PLC to PLC. FYI the existing operator interfaces just reads from the PLC to display information and writes information (depending on the application).
