I have a brand new roll of fober optics cable. Does anyone know of a cheap and dirty way of testing this cable without using up all of our connectors? I have a optical light source and a meter.

these are the only methods I've used other than simply trying it from transmiiter to reciever although shining the laser and testing its light strength before and after could provide clues
